I Am My Ancestors

Resilience does not do justice in describing our Ancestors. We have survived colonialism, the transatlantic slave trade, slavery, sharecropping, Jim Crow and Apartheid. Today we are Scholars, Athletes, Doctors, Lawyers and Entrepreneurs. But we honor those who sacrificed for us to achieve what was one only a dream not long ago.
